Foxco is finishing up a cool project right now, Marine Battery (MarineBattery.com) built on WordPress & WooCommerce.
What makes Marine Batteries interesting?
In 2023, the global Marine Battery market was valued at $550 million. By 2030, it’s projected to surge to $2.3 billion—a staggering 400% growth in under a decade.
While the broader battery market may slow due to longer-lasting lithium tech, marine batteries are on a different trajectory, drawing sharp investor and industry focus.
What’s Driving the Growth?
- Most boaters run trolling and propulsion motors for 4–6 hours per trip.
- Gas-powered motors are notoriously unreliable—making breakdowns on the water a serious concern.
- Electric trolling motors, once used primarily for fishing, are now being relied on as backup propulsion.
- New electric systems are quieter, cleaner, and increasingly seen as a viable replacement for gas motors.
- With fewer repairs and lower maintenance, boaters are shifting spending toward premium lithium batteries and efficient electric propulsion.
This shift marks a fundamental transformation in how recreational and small commercial boats are powered—and marine batteries are at the heart of it.
A couple cool features on the Marine Battery website:

1. Trolling Motor Runtime Calculator: how long will your trolling motor last per outing, based on various criteria, such as:
- Voltage
- Amp-Hours
- Battery Chemistry
- Trolling Motor Thrust Rating (Lbs)
- Boat Length
- Total Boat weight + payload (you and your stuff)
2. Marine Battery Lifespan Calculator: Whereas the other calculator will tell you about how long your battery will last out in the water, this calculator tells you how long your battery will last over time (years etc) also based on various criteria.
3. Applications, Cross References & Big Data. Eventually this site will have thousands of SKUs and a listing for every make model and series of watercraft ever made (Big Data!).
I’ll add more as the project is finalized.
